    Restoring deleted pages [406]

    Current behavior:
If a page is deleted (say, by accident), it can not be restored by user.
And even though there are full daily backups, manual restoration by technical support team is not an option either - since backups are designed for emergency recovery and restoring a single page is very time consuming.

    Desired behavior:
Implement a concept of 'trash can' for pages, so that deleted pages first go to the trash can. While in the trash can, page can be restored by user.

    Notes:
    - It is probably desirable for users also to have an option in the Trashcan to permanently delete a page (say, if it contains some sensitive material added by mistake)
    - We will probably automatically delete items from the Trashcan after a certain period (30 days) to prevent slowing the system down by storing unnecessary junk

...even though there are full daily backups...  are there restore instructions?  Can users restore their whole site?   That would be helpful in an emergency.

I see the need for two things -- member/contact database backup; individual page backup.

Trash can would work great for the latter, not sure about the database.

    thanks

I'm also wondering about backups of the full site and restoring the various databases.

    Thanks.
