Is that a feature that could be added? That way each group could personalize the language of their password-reset (and other) emails. My organization is a society for professional editors, and language use is, as you can imagine, quite important. For one thing, our emails to members usually have the Member Manager's name in the signoff, whereas this email seems rather impersonal.
The current email says this:
Hello [First Name / Last Name],
A request was made to recover a lost password for this e-mail address at [organization URL]
To choose new password go to: [reset URL]
(if the link does not open - please copy-paste the link into the address line of your browser).
If you did not request a new password at [organization URL], you may safely disregard this e-mail.
Many thanks,
Society of Editors (Vic.)
There are several issues with this email:
1) The first sentence needs a period at the end of it.
2) The second sentence needs an "a" between "To choose" and "new password".
3) The sentence in parentheses should have a comma instead of a hyphen, and "copy and paste" instead of "copy-paste".
4) And this is more of a style issue really, but "Dear" would be more correct to use than "Hello" for the salutation.
As you can imagine, I'm reluctant to have our members sent an email with grammatical errors in it, lest they think that one of the committee members wrote it. If there's any way to be able to make changes to the system emails, that would be great, thanks.
