Re: Credit card transactions entered by administrator

Could you give me an update on this issue?  Is this fix scheduled for anytime in the near future?

Shrerre - no, this has not been scheduled into a particular release so it is waiting in the general queue. I do not expect this to be addressed for at least 6 months.

Re: Credit card transactions entered by administrator

Sorry - still no progress here.

    Our initial thought was:

    • when admin use Record payment button, on the "new payment" screen he will be able to select whether it credit card payment or just recording of manual payment
    • if credit card option is selected, admin is redirected to credit card payment screen - same as members see when they pay
    • there administrator needs to enter all credit card details including CVV code and billing address
    • if payment succeeded, system creates new payment record and processes corresponding actions (i.e. approves membership, etc.)

Can this work? Or this will not work for you as you usually have no CVV code mailed?

Re: Credit card transactions entered by administrator

We have several members who use credit cards to pay invoices issued, rather than paying on-line with the registration.

It would be a huge benefit for us if, when they call in to pay their invoice, that we can record that payment. This call is often made by the finance department of the organization days or weeks after the event, when it is not practical to record a registration and payment.

We definitely vote to have this made an important feature, although for me the larger priority is making sure that we can add taxes to the registrations/memberships. Definitely #1 priority

This is definitely a need for us. We have people who also mail their invoice with a credit card number, and if required, we will have them include the cvv number as well. In addition, we have people who signup for membership at meetings, or have difficulty on their end (operator error) and they call me to put the card information for them. It would be of TREMENDOUS benefit to be able to do this on behalf of the member as it is seen as customer service. It would be appreciated if you could escalate this functionality request.

We have found a way to address this in version 4.3 if integration with PayPal Pro or Authorize.Net is used. In that case each invoice in the admin backend will have a button to enter credit card payment details to process a charge for that invoice.

This is great. However, without the functionality of tracking GST within Wild Apricot, this new function is useless to us. We will continue to need to track payments outside of Wild Apricot.

I'm happy to hear that admins will now be able to enter CC payment information on behalf of the member.  This issue was a roadblock for a second organization I work with to move to Wild Apricot.  After the 4.3 rollout you should have a new customer.  I continue to be impressed by the innovation, ease of use, and value of WA.
