    Contact Us Page

I want to create a "Contact Us" page were anyone can send an email to us via a form. I tried doing this by inserting a link to a specific member contact form, but it displays the member's name and I didn't really want to do that. Is there a way to create a form that sends some fields via an email?

    Re: Contact Us Page

At the moment only this workaround is available, see: http://help.wildapricot.com/display/DOC/Creating+a+Contact+Us+or+Feedback+Page
You can also insert a third party form (e.g. wufoo.com)

    Re: Contact Us Page

Hi ... it appears that I followed all the steps of this workaround.  The Contact Us user exists and has the right permissions.

Yet, when I try to use a link to the URL, I get this:

    Access denied

Sorry, it looks like you do not have access to the requested functionality (You might also see this message if you have been automatically logged out due to inactivity for security reasons. Log out and log in again.)

    Home

This is as a full-access admin login.  When I click the link as an outside user, it asks me to login.

    Any suggestions?

Emails have been turned off for this member. To turn them on, go to the member's contact card and click on E-mail Subscriptions. Click [Edit] and check the boxes to enable emails for this member.

    Re: Contact Us Page

    Thank you!  It works now

I actually turned that off on purpose, thinking "why would a imaginary member need to get all our e-mail blasts!", so I outsmarted myself.

You might want to add that little heads up to the how-to page so others like me are less likely to trick ourselves.

    Thanks again for the help!

    bye, tjo

    Re: Contact Us Page

I have had the "contact us" workaround working well for a couple of years using a hidden member as described. But now I tried to change the recipient of the email from from the hidden member - to a visible member & administrator of our site. (note: this member/administrator happens to be "lapsed" right at this minute, but not sure if this has an affect on my problem). I followed the following steps:

    1) changing the member serial number in the "contact us" hyperlink (from the hidden member to member/administrator)

    2) Under privacy, checking the member/administrator profile page accepts contact from "anybody"

    3) checking the member/administrator profile is accepting all emails.

But I get strange results. When I click the "contact Us" link as a...

    A) visitor: "authorisation required" prompted to log-in. Why?

    B) member: "Access Denied, Sorry, it looks like you do not have access to the requested functionality (You might also see this message if you have been automatically logged out due to inactivity for security reasons. Log out and log in again"

    C) administrator:  The form becomes visible, but the page never finishes loading and the site hangs. No message can be sent.

    What am I doing wrong?

    thanks

    Hi,

Can you let me know which website and member you are setting this up for so I can check the settings?
