    ONLINE STORE [5506]

Can you sell things on the website?  Like caps and mugs and other logo items.

Which website is a good example of such a thing?

    Re: ONLINE STORE

We do not have a built in shopping cart or an online store (yet - this is being considered for our development plan). What you can do right now is embed 'buy buttons' or externally hosted stores (like Amazon A-Store) into a Wild Apricot site. We have never specifically searched to see which of our clients have this setup (and it would not be easy to find automatically) so we do not have any examples handy.

    Re: ONLINE STORE

YES! YES! YES! This would be fantastic. If I had a +6STAR vote this would get that vote. We could integrate a lot of the functions, like recommending products (like books, videos) and special services that we currently offer (like purchasing vendor sponsor space on our website) or buying our membership email list.

    Re: ONLINE STORE

We are also interested in a shopping cart and online store for our site.

Do you have any near future launch date of this feature being available?

    Thanks

Paying for several items in one transaction (e.g. multiple events or event+membership)

It would be really useful if people could bundle the purchases they make on the website, for example: sign up for membership, then book an event, and pay for them together. Or have the option to make an extra donation when they book an event, and pay for them together.

At the moment users who want to attend member-only events have to join or renew, and go through paypal for that, then sign up for the event, and go through paypal again, which is quite a deterrent for some people.

Any plans for this? Would anyone else find this useful?

Re: Shopping cart / Bundle purchases

Absolutely! This goes hand in hand with the need to enable registration of multiple participants and/or multiple events in a single transaction. I've got this big event coming up next spring that consists of multiple sub-events with separate registration and discounts for members, and I'm increasingly concerned about how onerous the registration process is going to be.

Yes, this would definitely be useful for us.  Many of our members renew and sign up for conferences at the same time, or first become members when there is a conference.

Re: Shopping cart / Bundle purchases

As you can see, there is very little feedback on this thread yet - so this is still just an item under consideration on the wishlist, there is no plan/timeline yet.

    Re: ONLINE STORE

Dmitry - Unless customers need to track the merchandise members buy, we've found an excellent solution to this similar to what you suggest with Amazon.  Lands' End now offers a free eStore that carries much of their merchandise on which you can apply your organization's logo.  The benefit is that merchandise management is controlled entirely by them.  Credit card processing, inventory management, defect/return control, guarantees, and customer service.  All the benefits of an eStore without the hassle.  https://ocs.landsend.com/lebo/CCSetup/account/login  We intend on adding an external link to two Wild Apricot sites.  Feel free to pass this along to your customers.  Cheers, Marc Lotti

    Re: ONLINE STORE

Our association also wants to have this capability. We won't be selling physical inventory as often as digital resources - so purchaser may get a URL link or a file, not something that's shipped. So what they'll "get" for their purchase may be sent to them in a confirmation message.

    Re: ONLINE STORE

Yes it would be good to have a built in shopping cart that supports digital downloads.

The Paypal widget works find but it does not support digital downloads.

Is there anyway to set up the registration fee process so that it could be used for digital downloads?

    Re: ONLINE STORE

We just started our website (Group) and we really would like to have an online store with a shopping cart.  We now use PayPal which has the shopping cart feature but having a "store" on this new website would be great.

In addition, having an online store that has the ability to supports digital downloads would be outstanding!

The sooner the better for this feature!  Thanks.
