  agratton Joined about 2 years ago Posts 7	Customizing reminder emails per event [1778] Because we are located in europe we are a "multilingual" site.  We really need to be able to customize the email messages per event or type of event - so we can customize the languages.  At this moment it is not possible to do that (as far as I can tell) .  Being able to do this will enhance the usability for us.

  Re: Customizing registration confirmation and reminder emails per event One of our targets for 2010 is to create this function for events, so we're going to start with that process. We actually do have a high-level solution drafted, and we'd like to get your feedback on it. Remember, this is just for events right now: Solution Key idea  Move e-mails customization options to specific event page so that admins can modify e-mail for each event separately. Add new tab for e-mail management Add new tab "E-mails" on Event details right after Registration types tab All e-mails related things will be placed here (reminders and announcements, registration e-mails) Reminders and announcements Move event reminders and announcements control section to the new tab  Keep the same logic behavior for now: 3 announcements and 1 reminder  Each e-mail can be disabled/enabled List of Recipients remain the same Visually make it similar to Membership Renewals e-mail controls Registration e-mails Place all registration related e-mails to the new tab (along with reminders and announcements) E-mails To be defined  E-mails are controlled in a same way as for Membership renewals For events in the past Disable all controls for change Allow e-mail links so admin can review past e-mails if he wants New events For new events we just use default e-mail texts When we copy events, we also copy e-mail texts

The information we need to give/request varies greatly depending on whether the event is paid/free, networking/training etc. etc. so it would be good to be able to build up a range of templates that could be assigned at event creation time.
