    Webdav problems with Vista

    Hi guys,

I've followed the Knowledge Guide instructions to the "T" on using webdav in Vista, with no luck.  Everytime I type in the network address (http://www.rnlcny.org:80/webdav/), I get an error saying the location is not valid.

I have setup webdav on my other computer (Windows XP) without issue.  Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?  Very odd.

    Thanks,

    Ben

A number of windows settings can cause this, from IE settings to firewalls etc. See if this page can help: http://www.webdavsystem.com/server/documentation/troubleshooting

I read over the page, downloaded the plugin.  Still can't access.  I still get a non-valid address error.  Any thoughts?

    Thanks,

    Ben (the other Ben) :-)

Can you send a screenshot of the error to support@wildapricot.com with your account information so we can look into this better?

    Re: Webdav problems with Vista

Currently WebDAV is only available on 32-bit versions on Windows XP and Vista. We have an update coming out around March 29th which will allow access on 64-bit version of Windows as well as Windows 7 and Apple.

Is the message you are receiving saying "folder does not appear to be valid"? Are trying to connect with your Wild Apricot domain or your own custom domain?

Yes, that's the message if I recall (it was from my home computer, so I can check for sure later).

I was trying to connect to http://parentseducationnetwork.org:80/webdav -- which works from XP at work.

    Re: Webdav problems with Vista

I tested connecting to your site on Windows Vista and it does work for me. It is likely a configuration issue on your computer. Try the following:

Inside of Internet Explorer, click on the Tools menu and select Internet options. From there, select the Security tab. Click on [Custom Level] and look for User Authentication. Underneath this, ensure that Automatical Login only in Intranet zone is selected.

If this does not help, please see the following site:  http://www.webdavsystem.com/server/documentation/troubleshooting

Mitch, did you reset your password since 3.4 upgrade? If not, please try to do so.
