    Widget on external website...

    Hello,

I am new to this and attempting to use wildapricot for first time.

I am trying to embed the iframe widget  for member application on an external site. Now, here is the not so nice part, when I go over to my page and insert the iframe code, it has a button??

    What is that all about?

Isn't iframe suppose to carry over the member application form?

How do you display the actual form and make it stay there, without the sessions always expiring?

    Thanks

    Phil

Is there anyone who can possibly answer this simple question?

    Someone?

The application form is dynamically created and the 2nd, 3rd stages etc are session links which should not be embedded / used - you have to embed the static first stage of the form. Just copying the widget code provided in Settings / Get widget code should work without any problems.

Can you elaborate what button you are referring to? What does it say?

I'm having the same trouble.  When I embed the Application Form widget, I get a button that says "Start application in a new window."  I have tried making a widget from that url, which works beautifully for one day.  The next day I get "your session timed out" and then the button is back.

We need to fix this before we open the doors on our website.

This is because your widget URL contains temporary session, which is only valid for your own computer for a limited time. It might be possible to edit the URL to remove it - send the URL to support and we will look into this.

However, the reason we are forcing the application to open in a new Window is if you are using PayPal or Google Checkout as your payment processor - they do not allow to show their payment pages in an iframe. So even if you manage to make application form to work in iframe, it might either break during the last payment step - or Paypal/Google can shut down your payment account for breaking their policies.

Mike, this is a security limitation of PayPal and GC and unfortunately there is no way around this at the moment.
